Imagine That: Baseball Boy Birthday Card

Hey Guys!! Don't you simply love short weeks and the fact that it is already Thursday!! Woot, Woot! I know I do.

Today also marks the launch of Creative Knockouts brand new weekly challenge: Embossing!! It's one of my favorite themes because you can do so much with some simple embossing. You can dry emboss, you can heat emboss, you can emboss resist, ect....so many great ideas..and they are all so much fun! I chose to use a Tim Holtz embossing pen paired with a beautiful sentiment from Imagine That!

Speaking of which, as with any good challenge, our sponsor this week is Imagine That Images and trust me you might wanna head over and check their designs out. I decided to use Baseball Boy which was a great set that came with 3 items and multiple sentiments. Don't you simply love tat adorable batter?!

When I received the images that I requested I downloaded them all into Cricut Design Space and drew up the card right on the program. I then decided what pieces I wanted to print and cut and which ones I wanted to cut straight out. I ended up printing everything, beside the large star banner. I then added foam tape to the baseball (to help hold the top piece) and the front baseball boy. The bats are just cut directly out and places on with some tape adhesive.

As far as the embossing goes, I printed the sentiment out then cut out the banner with my cricut. The print and cut feature really makes working with digital images so much more enjoyable. I then took my Tim Holtz emboss It pens and outlined the printed sentiment. These pens are really amazing and this is a great technique that is super simple and can really make a card that much more spectacular. After the embossing ink covered the sentiment I applied a clear powder then heat set it, just as if I were using an embossing ink pad.

Thanks for stopping by Today. Make sure to head on over to Creative Knockouts and check out all of the other adorable DT creations.
