Playing with Vinyl - Thanksgiving Plate

Welcome back! I hope you had a chance to play along with yesterday's sketch challenge, which was sponsored by BTF Challenges (which happens to be the newest and coolest challenge blog around!!) If you did not get a chance to check it out then make sure to head on over there and play along, you have until Monday to enter.

For today I have a fun vinyl project which I made for my upcoming craft fair. If you have not had the chance to work with vinyl yet then I highly recommend that you pick some up and start right away. Vinyl is so easy and it's so much fun to play with and make things with. I will admit it, at first I was a little intimidated, but then I made my project and I instantly started searching my house for more things which I could put vinyl on!! Seriously, so addicting!!

So, without further ado, you can check out this amazing and easy plate which I made using some vinyl and the amazing Artbooking Cartridge, which is exclusive to CTMH.

Again quick and easy! This whole project took me about 20 minutes with cutting, weeding, and layering onto the plate.

Thanks for checking out my newest project today. If you were inspired to play with vinyl then please make sure to come on over to my facebook fanpage and share your newest creations. I love being inspired by other crafters,

BTF Sketch It Out (with La Vie En Rose)

Welcome back and Happy Tuesday! I hope you had a good Monday! As always, on Tuesdays, I have a wonderful challenge to bring to you sponsored by the wonderful ladies at BTF Challenges. This week we are showcasing our wonderful How-To Books, which I often head to for some inspiration, tips, and even techniques. If you would like to see some of my projects using these books you can check them out by clicking on this link

Our challenge this week is to follow one of two sketches found in either our Originals Book or our Reflections Scrapbooking book. These are the sketches:

Here is our card sketch

And here is our Scrapbooking Layout

I of course followed the card sketch and created a lovely long card using our La Vie En Rose paper pack. The colors in this line are Fern, Pomegranate, & Poppy

I had a lot of fun playing with this sketch because the front can be turned into a pocket which can hold a lovely tag or sentiment (like I have.) And again with that lovely paper, take a look at these projects just to see how beautiful that paper really is.

If you are interested in viewing the complete line of La Vie En Rose you can do so by clicking on this link. And if you are interested in playing along with our newest challenge you can check out all of the details by visiting the BTF Challenge blog.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you were inspired and you come and play along with our challenge this week!

Artbooking Friendship Layout (W/ My Spin)

Hello and welcome to Monday! I have a really fun layout to start this week off just right. This layout was inspired by the Artbooking Friendship layout which you can find on the cartridge. You can see more of my Artbooking Creations here.

This cartridge makes it so easy to make double page layouts in no time, plus it comes with so many extras so you can easily personalize your layouts.

I decided to keep this one pretty simple because my photos have not been shipped yet so I am not sure how I would like to accessorize it, but I did want to show everyone how easy it is to work with our exclusive CTMH Cricut Cartridges!

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed and were inspired. I also hope to see you back here tomorrow for another fun challenge brought to you by BTF Challenges!

Halloween Card: Marjorie Ann Designs Scaredy Cat

Happy Friday! Today I have a wonderful Halloween card which was made using the Scaredy Cat file found over at Marjorie Ann Designs. If you follow along with the blog then you will notice that this is the same file which I used last week to make this really fun shaped card. This file is so much fun to use that I decided to go ahead and make another card with it, and here is what I came up with.

I was inspired the "Cubes and Colors" card sketch found on page 11 in the CTMH Originals book. These how to books are a great go to if you are ever in need of a little inspiration and they not only have the sketch along with instructions and paper dimensions, but they also have tons of tips and examples.. meaning there is A LOT of inspiration in these little books.

The file is one of the many holiday files which you can find, again, over at Marjorie Ann Designs. I highly recommend this store since they always have great designs and a lot of the time you can find an awesome deal by following along their facebook page. Here is what the complete file looks like.

Thanks for stopping in today and I hope you have a wonderful and safe weekend!

ScrapMuch: Zoe Cover Page Layout

I have to admit that ever since I picked up the artbooking cartridge I have been playing around with scrapbooking pages a lot more!! Which is awesome because while trying to stay on top of my little man's album I also have an order to do an album for my cousin, so anything to keep me motivated is wonderful!

This page is going to be used as the cover page for my cousins album and I think it's simply perfect. My cousin is such a sweet young lady, yet she is very much a tomboy so I wanted a page that reflects her beauty but was not overly girly and the Zoe paper pack came to the perfect rescue.

I got inspiration for this layout from the ScrapMuch? Challenge posted on Sept. 18th and I changed it up a little, but the base layout came from that design. The paper is from our Zoe collection which I have used a lot this month. If you are interested you can check out all of those posts here

Here is the original sketch photo that inspired me.

Thanks for stopping by today. If you are interested in playing along with this challenge you have until the 29th to head on over and link up your creation.

BTF Watercolor Challenge

Watercolor, Watercolor, Watercolor.. such a fun technique that is so new and so crazy to use (at least to me.) This week over at BTF Challenges we are challenging you to use watercolor on your projects and I am so excited and cannot wait to see the projects you guys come up with.

I have only used this technique a couple of times (here and here) and I find it's very fun and fascinating..but it can be a little tricky at times. So for this week's challenge I pulled out a few sheets of watercolor paper and got right to work. Let me tell you I must have made a half of dozen cards before settling on these two as the ones I would like to keep.

Again with watercoloring you never know how your project is going to turn out and while I am not head over heals for either of these I still think they came out pretty good.

With the one on the right I was practicing the rainbow technique and got a little carried away but I love how adding the silver shimmer trim, paired with the La Vie En Rose paper, and the splattering (first time using that technique) all seemed to work together very well.

On the card on the right I decided to try a different technique and embossed the flower stamp prior to watercoloring and boy this gave me a whole new watercolor technique to work with. I also used the La Vie En Rose paper on this card.

The sentiment on both of the cards came from the Wavy Blooms Stamp set

Thanks for stopping by today to check out my project. Remember you have one week to enter your projects into our BTF challenges. Make sure to head on over to CTMH and check out all of the fun watercoloring supplies we now offer.

Happy Craftin'

Use Your Stash Blog Hop

Welcome and Happy Monday! Today I am taking part in a really awesome blog hop called "Use Your Stash" where some other CTMH consultants and I will be challenged monthly to use items in our stash that we have not used in quite some time. I am really excited to be part of this hop because, as with all crafters, there are always those papers, tools, accessories which get pushed to the bottom and forgotten about and this is the perfect way to get them back out and use them.

So, if you are joining us from Michelle’s Blog then you are on the right track. If for some reason you get lost along the way you can head back to Marilee’s Blog. to get the complete list of participants.

Again, this week we were all challenged to use any tool which we have not used in a while. Of course I jumped right to my embossing machine, which was one of the very first tools I bought and is therefore often forgot about and replaced with the heat embosser. So I grabbed my small texture boutique, dusted it off, grabbed a matching folder, and went straight to work creating a set of holiday cards.

These cards were so easy to make that I actually made a set of 5.

I used some basic white and blue cardstock layered on a standard A2 card. I then sliced a snowflake image, found on the Artbooking cartridge, into the top white layer. When I had all of these cut out I took the top white layer and stamped the sentiment onto the front. This sentiment is from a packaged I picked up from Micheal's a while ago, so also from my stash of forgotten wooden stamps. (I'm getting pretty good at using my stash!!)

After the sentiment was stamped I ran the layer through my embossing machine using a snowflake folder, again from my stash, and then I replaced the sliced out snowflake with a small dab of liquid glass right in the middle so that the edges could stand up a little and show off that lovely blue. As a final touch I added a small blue gem to the middle of the snowflake and there you have it - nice and easy, but yet so elegant.

Make sure to head on over to Wendy's Blog to check out what she has in store for this challenge. Also don't forget to join our BTF Quote Challenge, today is the last day before we launch a new challenge - the only rule is to use at least one CTMH product on your creation.

Thanks and Happy Craftin'

Boo - Shaped Holiday Card

Welcome to Friday!! Man this week seemed like it took forever, but it was D's first full week of pre-k so I think that had something to do with it!! For today's project I have a fun shaped card which comes from a cut file from Marjorie Ann Designs. If you have not checked out this store then head right on over there and check out all of the beautiful designs these ladies come up with.

This card uses the Scardy Cat file which you can find here. I think that this file, like all of the Marjorie Ann files, is just way too adorable and I could not help myself but to make it into a shaped card. Here you can take a peak at the complete file.

Scaredy Cats SVG Cutting Files Includes Clipart

How completely adorable is that kitty cat!! I love it and will hopefully be making some more cards using the file next week.

Don't forget there is a Quotes challenge going on over at BTF and we have a Happy Fall Y'all Challenge over at Creative Knockouts so if you are getting crafty this weekend make sure to head on over and enter into those challenges. Creative Knockouts: Happy Fall Challenge

Thanks for stopping by today and welcome to the beginning of fall.. well actually it's next week but since our Creative Knockout Challenges go live on Thursday I am going to count this as my welcome to fall card. And if you have not guessed already our brand new theme over at CK is Happy Fall Y'all!! How much fun, especially since fall is my favorite season of all time!

I was really excited to make this card since it combines two of my new favorite products, the Sangria line and the Cricut Artbooking Cartridge. By the way if you missed this week's Makin' It On Monday then you should go back and check it out here because I tell you all about the Cartridge Bundles and why you should pick one up.

Don't you just love that color combination!! So perfect for fall! All of that designer paper came from the Sangria paper pack which highlights a color palette of champagne, cocoa, desert sand, eggplant, pomegranate, and poppy. I then accented the wonderful Acorn Harvest image from Sami Stamps with the Sangria complements which includes stickers, die cuts, and vellum cut outs.

Here is the inside of the card.

That beautiful paper is the other side of the purple on the front.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you were inspired to create a fall project. Our challenges over at CK run for one week and this week one lucky winner will be fortunate enough to win a $12 gift certificate to Sami Stamps shop so make sure to enter your projects!

La Vie En Rose Wedding Layout

Welcome to the middle of the week! Today I have a scrapbook layout for you using one of our new paper pack called La Vie En Rose which I introduced in this post. As I mentioned before I was not fond of this paper line in the beginning but I fell completely in love with it as soon as it arrived on my door step and I think that this project takes a whole new view on the line than my previous creation with it...just to show you how versatile our paper packs really are.

This is a layout from a scrapbook which I am preparing for a family member and these wedding photos are really old (like from the 90's!!) and the pictures worked out so well with this paper line!

Along with the La Vie En Rose paper pack I also used the SOTM Paper Garden, which you can pick up for only $5! I love bringing you deals. You can check out some other SOTM project by clicking here and here and of course the link which I shared at the beginning of this post which is here

My layout inspiration for this one came from the fabulous ladies over at ScrapMuch? and their Sketch-y Friday post you can find here. These ladies give you all month to play along with their challenges so make sure to head on over and check it out.

Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to check out our Quotes Challenge over at Between the Folds, you have until next Monday to play along with us.

BTF: Quotes Challenge

Welcome to another challenge over at the Between the Folds group, where anything goes as long as you follow the theme and use at least one CTMH product!! This week we are challenging you to use an inspirational quote on your projects. This is always such a fun challenge to take part in because there are so many different ways and different projects you can create where a quote can have such an impact, so make sure to head on over and play along.

For my project this week I decided to make a friendship card and use a quote card that has been in my stash for quite some time. This quote has an impact on me because sometimes it seems like the only person who can lift up your spirits is your best friend and I am blessed to two best friends who always do just that.

There were so many different ways to go with this card, but I decided to keep it elegant and somewhat simple. I used the Zoe paper pack for that lovely green polka-dotted paper and for the Sorbet and then I found these beautiful flowers that matched the color combination perfectly and decided to add them over some lace trim.

The projects which our design team came up with this week are beautiful and if you need some more inspiration head on over there and take a peak.

You have until next Monday to enter your projects into our challenge. The winner will get spotlighted on Tuesday prior to announcing our new challenge theme. It's always a lot of fun and again it's so easy to enter so come play along!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Craftin'

Cricut Artbooking Cartridge - Makin It On Monday

I have been so sick lately and talk about a lack of energy... pregnancy + stomach bug = truly no energy!! But I have gathered myself together today to show off my new CTMH cartridge, which is not really new to CTMH, but which you will be seeing me use a lot of.

This artbooking cartridge is a scrapbookers dream. The cartridge comes with themed layouts, overlays, accents, borders, titles, ect.. the list is endless and you can even mix and match to make your own themes and pages. Oh and by the way the cartridge even comes with 10 themed mini albums!! Talk about quick and easy!!

Plus an added bonus is that all of our Cricut cartridges come bundled - which simply means they include a paper pack, the 700+ image cartridge (which is exclusive to CTMH), and 3 exclusive D-Size stamp sets!! Talk about a deal. You can check out all five of our cartridges by clicking on this linkI promise you will not be disappointed.

It was a hard choice for me to choose my very first cartridge, but after a week of going back and forth between the newest Artistry and the scrapbookers paradise one, Artbooking, I decided to go with Artbooking and today's video shows you why.

I just adore all of the page layouts and the 10+ mini albums that you can make with it!! In fact, soon as I get caught back up a little and perhaps over this cold, I will be showcasing my very first mini album to you!! I know.. I am so excited too!

Well thanks for stopping in and I hope to see you back here tomorrow for a brand new BTF challenge.

Happy Craftin'
