Summer Fun Challenge

Hi and Welcome to another Creative Knockouts Challenge!! Today we are focusing our projects on Summer Fun and what better way to showcase fun than our CTMH Confetti Wishes paper and an ice cream truck!!

I simply love the way that this card came out. The style is called a Star or Sunburst Card and is so easy to make.

I first started with a 12x12 piece of Confetti Wishes (you could use scraps if you want to) and then I cut the following rectangles out.

Cut 1 Rectangle @ 4.5"x 1.5"
Cut 1 Rectangle @ 4"x 1.5"
Cut 2 Rectangles @ 3" x 1.5"
Cut 2 Rectangles @ 2"x 1.5"

This is what it should look like after you cut all of those rectangles in half diagonally.

See why it's ok even better to use scraps.

After you have all of your pieces cut out you simply arrange them on your card in a circular motion. Now this way works because I put an element in the upper right corner. If, however, you do not want to add an off center element to your card you can cut all of your pieces to the size that you wish. Some people like just the top half of the card covered while others like the whole card covered. Simply measure how long you would like your strips and then make then 1.5" wide and wah-lah!

The sponsor this week over at Creative Knockouts is The Stamping Boutique who is generously giving away 2 free digi's to the winner.

If you have never checked these guys out make sure to head on over there and see what they have in store. I picked up the Ice Cream Truck image that I used from them and it was a hard choice because they have some great options.
