Creative Knockouts Challenge - Ladybug Birthdays

Welcome to another Creative Knockouts Challenge Day!! This challenge is actually a tic tac toe board and is really fun to play around with. The winner of this challenge will win a fabulous prize from Bugaboo Stamps.

Sometimes when I get a digi, I get so excited to use it that I loose all focus and just get caught up in the coloring!! Oppsie!! That's a little bit of what I did here.

I used the Scene It - Lady Bug Birthday along with the Confetti Wishes paper pack! I absolutely love how fun, festive, and girly this paper pack is and I absolutely cannot wait to play around with it some more.

I used the CTMH watercolor pencils to color in that wonderful image from Bugaboo Stamps. This is such an easy way to use clip art and digital stamps! Simply print them out on watercolor paper, let the ink dry, then color it's that easy to match the image to the background paper of your choice.

Well I hope you were inspired to go and play along with the Creative Knockouts Tic-Tac-Toe challenge this week!

Marjorie Ann Designs Get Well Card Jackson Style

Welcome back! Today I have a great Get Well card to share with you using one of my favorite paper packs, Jackson! I love this line because it comes in our "My Reflections" paper pack which allows you to purchase matching accessories and complements, it also comes in WOTG kits which allow you to get matching stamp sets at a discounted price, and it also comes in a discounted PML journal kit for pocket scrapbooking!! I can and do literally use it for everything!

So here is the project that I came up with.

For this card I used the Jackson paper pack for that beautiful rustic background paper. The teal and brown is one side and then the black and brown strip is the reverse side of the paper. I love both sides and they can create such a different look and feel to the card. The stamp came from the Big Hug occasions stamp set. This is a D-Size stamp which offers a number of sentiments perfect for get well, sympathy, or even just because cards. Here's a closer view of the set.

I use it more than I ever thought I would.

The digital cut file comes from Marjorie Ann Designs and is their Get Well Wishes file. I love checking out all the new creations that these ladies offer and there is always a great sale going on so if you have not checked out their site head on over there and take a peak. Here is what the complete file looks like.

Right now this file is 30% off so if you love it as much as I do make sure to head on over there and get yourself one.

Well thanks for checking out my project today! I hope you enjoyed and were inspired to head out and create something of your own!

Creative Knockout Washi Challenge

Good Morning Thursday! The week is almost over and oh, what a week it's been!! My four year old is going through a phase where he wakes up wide awake at about 3 in the morning and man it's a tough one!! We will get through and we will persevere!! LMAO... If anyone out there has a child you know what I mean how I feel.

Well good news is that today I have a washi tape challenge for you brought to you by our lovely design team over at Creative Knockouts. The design team always has such wonderful projects and I am so glad that I get to be a part of such talent. The sponsor for this weeks challenge is Sami Stamps and they are generously giving away a $12 gift card to their store.

For this challenge I wanted to make something that would help fill up my card stash. I feel like I make a lot of birthday cards, which is nice because I know a lot of people who have birthdays, but it is totally wedding/baby season in my world right now so I wanted to build up those cards to have on hand.

The purple paper I used is from the Taste of Summer paper pack (which is only available this month and is discounted!!) I love how versatile this paper pack is. I also used pear cardstock to help pull those leaves out of the image. The pink rose paper is from my stash and the sliver washi tape is actually shimmer trim from CTMH (I LOVE this stuff!!)

The image that I decided to go with is from Sami Stamps and is called Bundle of Dreams. It's such a precious little image and I could not turn away once I came across it. I printed it out on white daisy cardstock and colored it in with my very favorite coloring tools, CTMH watercolor Pencils.

I then carried the whole design into the inside of the paper and added another smaller sheet of White Daisy cardstock so that I could add a small vellum sticker sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you were inspired. Make sure to head over to Creative Knockouts and take a peak at what the other design team members came up with and don't forget you have one week to enter the washi tape challenge for your chance to win that gift card!

Blossom Workshop Re-Make

I just wanted to stop in quickly today to show you another take on the Blossom's Cardmaking workshop. This is a card that I made for the Between the Folds Swap group on facebook. The challenge was to use the colors which happened to be found in the Blossom's Paper pack.

These Workshop on the Go Kits that CTMH offers are a wonderful kit that comes with everything you need to make 15 cards including paper, stamps, and embellishments. We offer cardmaking and scrapbooking kits and the best part about them is that you end up saving money when you purchase the kit! You know I love a great deal!!

Here check out all that is included in the standard cardmaking kit. Cards, Envelopes, twine, a D-size stamp set, all the paper you need, an instruction manual, and 4 sheets of sequins are all included in the Blossom's kit!!

Now like I said the card I have pictured above is a re-make of one of the designs in the kit, it's actually a re-make of that middle kraft card you see in the picture....slightly different in a couple of ways.

Well I hope that you enjoyed the post today. Make sure to head on over to CTMH  to check out all of the kits that we have available, I promise you will be amazed at what these kits offer.

Thanks for stopping in and I hope to see you back here tomorrow for a wonderful Creative Knockouts challenge!

Bimini Moose Favorite Things Scrap Challenge

Welcome back to another Tuesday which is always my scrapbook day. Today over at Bimini Moose we have a wonderful challenge going on where you get a chance to show us your favorites. This can be favorite activities, favorite pictures, or maybe even favorite papers and embellishments! We love to see creativity so feel free to think outside the box with our optional twists. As always the winner of our bi-weekly challenge will receive one free cut from KaDoodle Bug so make sure to head on over and enter your scrapbook layouts or project life spreads.

For this challenge I wanted to get some of our favorites (and not so favorite) photos of the week and I accented the photos with my favorite PML pack (at the moment) which happens to be the Jackson pack.

I decided to use a number card to label a couple of Damien's favorite things at 4 years old, which if anyone out there is familiar with a 4 year old this changes daily so instead of an annual recap it's like a weekly recap of favorites (movies, seasons, colors, books, ect..)

My husband and I love to head out and support charities through races and this year we were lucky enough to have Damien participate in his first race so I just had to add that photo. Then along the bottom of the layout I added our beautiful tree because we just recently moved into our new house and the garden here is simply beautiful and something we all enjoy looking at and nurturing.

This is a close up of my PML Jackson journal card. I layered a 3x4 and a 4x6 card on top of each other and jut filled in the notes. I love this set because you don't need to embellish a lot or at all or you can embellish if you want..either way the cards always come out looking lovely!

Here's another close up of the doubled journal card just like the one above. This picture also shows how I used PicMonkey to not only edit my photos but to also write little notes on the photos. I also used PicMonkey to make a collage of some of my photos, it's an excellent one stop for free program and I always recommend.

This is one of the Jackson PML cards all by itself, just pointing out all of our favorites....and not so favorites like the haircut photos! I swear my son would rock long hair all the time if I let him. Also that collage was made using PicMonkey - it's so extremely easy to do.

Well there you have my layout of family favorites! Make sure to head on over to Bimini Moose and add any style scrapbook page to our challenge. You don't even need to play along with the optional theme making it a really easy challenge if you scrapbook anything at all this week.

Sweet Taste of Summer Smoothie Style!

Good Morning and Happy Monday to everyone! Last week I signed up for the Jennifer McGuire Clean and Simple Class and today I have a card which came from that class.

Now they offer a number of these classes but I decided that since this was my first one I would start off with the first class and so far it has been decent. The teachers share a lot of tips and tricks and challenge you with different sketches which is always great to keep your creative juices flowing.

So as anyone who makes cards, or follows my blog, knows the sketch is just the starting point - a great starting point but just a start. So to take this card to the next level I decided to use a print and cut file from Marjorie Ann Designs and some of that lovely Taste of Summer paper (which is only $8.95 for 12 sheets of B&T double sided!!!)

This card kept to the clean and simple design, because again I am taking a C&S class so it's only fitting! The paper is actually the same sheet of paper, the red is just the back side - or however you want to view that :) Here is my link to the Taste of Summer paper and matching stamp set. This set is only available this month so don't miss out make sure to head on over and pick it up! The file, or die cut or focal, is a file called Sweet Smoothie and can be found by clicking here. If you have not visited Marjorie Ann make sure to go ahead and do that. They offer wonderful cut files and clip art - just in case you want to print and cut like I did here.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you were inspired to make a lovely summery card. Please make sure to stop back in tomorrow for a new scrapbooking challenge!

Marjorie Ann Designs Challenge and Baby Shape Card

Happy Friday!! Today I have a wonderful shaped card and a FREE file to share for you to join in on the challenge!! I love freebies and I hope you do too.

So if you head over to the Marjorie Ann Designs facebook page found here you will see our latest challenge using the baby shape file. You can find the free file in the Krazy for Kristi W Designs group page found here The challenge will run until Monday making this a really fun weekend project to create.

This card was a little bit of a challenge for me because I wanted to make it unique and still completely adorable (the adorable part was easy with this file!) So I started by pulling out all of my baby papers and started mixing and matching to see what I liked.

I kept the baby pretty basic because I used such bold colors and patterns and if you follow along you will notice that I use those googly eyes a lot (well that's because I inherited a whole slew of them and they are easy to assemble!)

I hope you enjoyed my card today. Remember you have all weekend to join in the challenge.

Have a safe and happy weekend!

Marjorie Ann Designs - Team Member!!

I have some excellent news to share with everyone today!! I have been accepted to be part of the Marjorie Ann SVG's design team. Now if you have never heard of this site before then let me share all of their wonderfulness with you. MarjorieAnn creates and sell SVG's and digital clip art and they have some amazing products. Here go take a look, I promise to be here when you get back :)

Awesome right?! So being on her design team means that I will be helping to showcase some of those wonderful SVG files in my upcoming projects. And guess what?? I have one to share with you today!!

This little cutie is called Lemonade Bear and can be found by clicking this link here. This is a really cute little file and I thought that it would fit perfectly with our new Taste of Summer Lemonade Paper! The one side of this paper is the repeat lemons and the other side of the paper is that wonderful striped yellow, which I also used for the inside.

The bear with the lemonade pitcher reminded me of those long summer days, or nights, which is why I chose this sentiment.

I also decided to enter this card into the Fusion Card Challenge blog this week where they had a really great photo and sketch. I used the yellow stripes along with the sketch for my inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by today. If you loved the die cut as much as I did then make sure to head on over to Marjorie Ann Designs and look through all that they offer. You can also stop by my OBA and pick up your Taste of Summer Paper Pack for only $8.95 and only this month so make sure to pick it up before it's gone! Happy Shopping!

Jackson Scrap Book and PML Layout!

Guess what I finally got in the mail over the weekend!! That's right my long lost order that got delayed in MD... I am so excited it is finally here and I have so much to show you.

Since it's Tuesday let's start the day off right with a PML pocket scrapbooking post. I know that our challenge right now is pets, however I have been waiting a really long time to scrapbook these wonderful photos of my son and his friends playing outside last summer.

One of my best friends from grade school happened to have a son a few weeks after I had mine and they hang out all of the time (we are very fortunate!) One of  their  our favorite things to do together is to be outside. Whether it's hiking, roasting marshmallow's, or just hanging out by the fire we all enjoy doing it - which again is awesome and simply perfect for the new Jackson Line that CTMH offers!

This top page is actually the right side of the layout and is done in the Jackson PML cards. I absolutely love these cards and for only $8.95 you really can't beat it. Each set comes with 20 4x6 cards with 10 designs!! Most journal cards have a gazillion designs duplicates, however PML cards make sure to add a touch of variety and give you 10 designs in the 4x6 cards and then 18 designs in the 3x4 cards (36 cards in total for 3x4)!!

Here is a sample of what the Jackson PML cards look like.

Then the left side of the layout is actually a 12x12 using more of the Jackson line.

Last year CTMH offered a Timberland line which is where those stamps came from. The stickers are from my stash.

Here is a picture of the variety of paper which comes in the Jackson paper pack. This pack is only $9.95 and offers 6 – 12" × 12" B&T Duos™ Papers (2 each of 3 double-sided designs pictured below) and  6 – 12" × 12" Cardstock Sheets (2 Cocoa, 2 Glacier, 1 Barn Red, 1 Juniper).

Well I hope you enjoyed checking out my layout. Thanks for stopping by and please make sure to head over to Bimini Moose and link any scrapbooking layout, PML, or project life spread to our challenge this week. The winner receives a free cut file from KaDoodle Bug Designs!!!
