ScrapMuch DT!! - Fall Layout

12:00 AM 2 Comments
It's Officially here!! Today I am going to post my first ScrapMuch? Design Team submission!! If you missed this post earlier this week then head on over there and check out how excited I am about joining this wonderful team.

Before I show off my creation and the challenge sketch I am going to go over some basic rules to the ScrapMuch? Challenges, it's another really easy challenge site but here are your guidelines.

You will have all month to play along with the challenges, there's a new challenge posted every week. In order to enter your project head on over to the ScrapMuch? Blog and link up your direct link to the correct challenge linky tool on the sidebar. Each challenge will have a monthly prize which will be a $20 store credit towards project kits. If you are playing along with more than one challenge you will need to link all of them up to the linky tool. As always if you have any questions do not hesitate to reach out to me or to the ScrapMuch? ladies directly.

Ok so onto my creation and this week's sketch.

I was getting a little behind on last year's fall photos so I decided to take this time and play a little catch up. Last year we took the D-man to a corn maze, it was everyone's first time and boy what a blast we had.

Most of the papers and embellishments are from my stash and yes there is a very light title that says "Fall Delight" over on the left hand side under "quality time." This title came out really light in every photo I took and I just could not get it any darker. The only die cut used was that cute little pumpkin bear which comes from Marjorie Ann Designs. All of the leaves where cut out and traced using my Cricut.

Here is a copy of the sketch which we used for inspiration.

Remember you have all month to play along with this challenge and you can find the ScrapMuch? blog by following this link.

Thanks for stopping in today and don't forget to head over to BTF challenges and enter your Fancy Fold submissions.

Creative Knockouts Fall Fun Card

2:00 AM 3 Comments
Today is Thursday which means that I have a wonderful Creative Knockouts Challenge for you! This week we are celebrating Halloween and for the challenge I decided to grab a background digi from Inky Impressions and pull out the watercolor paints and get right to work.

This was my first time using a background digi and it was a little bit of a challenge for me. I came across the Pumpkin Fence Background and so many different ideas came to my mind, but then of course when I sat down to make the card (days later) I was a little lost on where to start.

Again the card is painted using CTMH watercolor paints, which I LOVE using, and which I think gives the image almost a rustic look to it. I was then going to add some cute die cuts to the card but I did not want to loose that image so I decided to keep it pretty basic. I added some sequins and twine to continue with the fall/rustic feel and then added two little stamped pumpkins just because they were adorable.

The official name of the challenge theme is Challenge: Halloween Time (if you do not celebrate Halloween, then feel free to use a purple/black/orange color combo). And as you can see by the description Kelly is pretty lenient with your projects. The winner of this challenge will receive 3 free digi's from Inky Impressions so make sure to head on over there this week and play along.

Thanks for checking out my project and I hope you were inspired.

ScrapMuch? Wizard of Oz Layout

12:00 AM 2 Comments
Hello! I hope everyone's week is going great! There was a lot of challenges posted on my blog last week so this week I am going to just sit back and show you some projects I have been working on and make a couple of announcements for some really fun and really cool things. So sit back grab your cup of Java and be prepared for some excitement!

First things first. I have been invited to join the ScrapMuch? Design Team for this next session!! I am so excited for this opportunity and this is my first scrapbooking design team so I cannot wait to learn, expand, and explore the scrapbooking arena some more! I started off designing scrapbook layouts when I was WAY younger and it has always been where my heart lies, although I do enjoy making anything and everything out of paper. Recently I found out how spectacular making your own cards could actually be and that took the front seat for a while, but again I am so excited to have reason and motivation to get back into scrapbooking!! So if you have never heard of ScrapMuch? then here is their direct link and here, here, and here are some posts which I have recently submitted to their challenges.

And of course as a special post for today's announcement I have a layout and a challenge for everyone to play along with. This one is brought to you, of course, by the ScrapMuch? current design team. I will be taking part in my first official DT sketch this Friday so make sure to come back over and play along with me then too!

So for today's sketch I created a Halloween Wizard of Oz Layout, yes we were the Wizard of Oz this year so that is where those die cuts come into play. I decided to keep with the Halloween theme through the papers just because it was a Halloween Layout.

Without further ado here is my layout.

I would have normally put all of the characters on one line to provide that eye catching appearance but I did not want to loos those really cute banners which were so present on the sketch.

Here is a peak at the sketch which I used. You can find the direct link to this challenge by clicking on this link here. The really cool thing about these challenges is that you have all month to play along with any of the challenges!! This is really great for those of us who procrastinate.

Oh and those lovely little Wizard of Oz die cuts came from Marjorie Ann Designs.
The complete file looks like this.

Wizard Of Oz SVG Cutting Files Includes Clipart

Ok so if the post was not long enough I do just want to quickly remind everyone that our BTF Challenges "Fancy Pants" is still live and active so head on over and submit any of your cool creations from this month.

Thanks for stopping in and I hope to see you back here again!

Holiday Gift Tags

12:00 AM 0 Comments
Hello and welcome back. Last week I found some really great tags in the free Cricut Design Space cut file and I fell completely in love with them. The cartridge is called "Holiday Gift Tags" and it offers 6 really cute holiday tags that are so easy to assemble.

With the first set I followed the template on DS making some minor adjustments (like welding some overlapping layers so I could conserve paper, ect..) After I assembled all of the layers I then went ahead and added a "to" and "from" stamp along with the "Peace" from our current SOTM, "Twinkle." I then took it one small step further and glittered the poinsettia flower and added a small gem to the center.

Here's a sneak peak at that $5.00 "Twinkle" stamp set found exclusively at CTMH. This stamp set is set of 15 stamps which are perfect for all your upcoming paper crafting projects.

The next tag set is also from the free DS cut this week. Again these were another easy tag set to create and were completed with that same "to" and "from" stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you enjoyed these wonderful holiday tags and were inspired to head out and create some of your own, you can never have enough tags during the holidays.

Get Well Card Marjorie Ann Designs

12:00 AM 0 Comments
Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a wonderful full filled weekend! Here in Upstate NY the leaves are changing in the mountains and it's always such a beautiful site to watch.

Today I decided to work a little on my "Get Well" card stash, which currently has no cards in it (oops..lol!) I picked up this sketch design from a sketch from last week, but I did not make the deadline in time to enter the card, so I decided to just share it with you instead.

That cute little Mouse is from Marjorie Ann Designs and is a file called Get Well Wishes. This is a really cute file to have on hand and works well with so many different ages, sexes, and genres. Here is a peak at the whole file.

Get Well Wishes Cutting Files Includes Clipart

Since I need to increase my "Get Well" stash I will be using this file a couple more times to make some awesome and really cute cards. I'm actually picturing a shape card with that cute little band-aid nurse...oh the ideas!

Well thanks for stopping by today and I hope you enjoyed my Get Well card. I'll see you back here tomorrow for some holiday tags, which you will not want to miss!

Scrap Much Sketch Challenge: Summer Scrapbook Layout

12:00 AM 4 Comments
Happy Friday! We made it another week which makes me 30 weeks along with this crazy baby number 2! As promised I am going to finish off the week with another really fun challenge. This challenge is brought to you by the ladies over at ScrapMuch? which is a really fun scrapbooking challenge site which you can check out by clicking on this link here.

For this challenge I dug a little deep to try and get my photos from this summer scrapped and I love the file I found to pair with these wonderful summer photos of my little D-man.

This layout matches the following sketch from ScrapMuch?

Typically I will design and layout my pages right in Cricut Design Space since this gives me more of an idea of what they will look like with all of the shapes and the die cuts. Of course if I am not using Die Cuts then I will bring out my table and put everything together the old fashion way...either way as long as you are having fun while doing it.

The file I used is one from Marjorie Ann Designs and is called Water Fight. You can view the whole file below.
Water Fight SVG Cutting Files Includes Clipart

The ScrapMuch? Challenges run all month long so you still have some time to head on over there and play along with them. The official close time is October 29th at midnight.

Well again I hope you were inspired to head out and create something beautiful. Have a safe and happy weekend!

Marjorie Ann Designs Sketch Challenge Scrapbook Layout

12:00 AM 0 Comments
Thanks for stopping by through today. I told you earlier this week that the whole week would be full of challenges and of course I hold true to my word so I really do hope you are enjoying playing around will all these lovely challenges.

Today's challenge is a little bit different since it is being hosted by Marjorie Ann Designs, a wonderful SVG and file store which I happen to design for. The challenge is a sketch challenge however since there is no blog the challenge is being held on facebook, which trust me is even easier than submitting your creation to a blog. So if you are unfamiliar with Marjorie Ann Designs make sure to check out their website here and their facebook fanpage here.. then enter your email address over on my banner so you can follow me.

Ok so again Marge came up with a sketch and we had to incorporate that sketch into our creation. I apologize because I just could not get the light quite right on today's project but you will get the jist of it.

For this beautiful layout I decided to use the Sangria paper pack along with the Sangria complements. I just think this is such a beautiful set for the upcoming fall/thanksgiving season and highly recommend you heading on over and checking it out. Also if you purchase from my CTMH store then I will let you pick out some matching accessories or complements for free.

As far as the SVG files go I took the "Gather Together" title from the free Thanksgiving cartridge that is available this week in Design Space along with the beautiful Fuzzy Loves Fall SVG file from Marjorie Ann Designs. If you are interested in peeking at some more projects using the Thanksgiving cartridge you can check a couple out here

And of course here is that beautiful Fuzzy Loves Fall SVG file in completion.

If you are interested in playing along with the sketch challenge you have until tomorrow October 23rd @ 5pm Mountain time to head on over there and submit your creation. Here is the complete sketch.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you were inspired.

Fusion & Tis The Season Christmas Card Challenge

12:00 AM 5 Comments
Happy Hump Day! This week has been full of challenges and I hope you have enjoyed playing along with them. Today I am bringing you a card that was inspired by the Fusion Card Challenge Sketch and the Tis the Season Challenge and when combined I came up with this lovely creation.

This card uses the wonderful White Pines paper line from CTMH. I am so pleased with this line, as is always the case, since the line offers both a traditional Cranberry and Fern color palette as well as a Glacier and Chocolate line (so you get reds and blues!!) If you are looking for a great holiday line to get you in the season then definitely make sure to head on over and take a peak at this one. P.S. I am also offering free accessories or complements for anyone who places an order with me this month.

So here is the inspirational photo and sketches that I used.

Thanks for stopping by today and make sure to head on over and play along with these wonderful challenge sponsors!

Between the Folds Challenge: Fancy Pants Halloween Waterfall Card

12:00 AM 0 Comments
Welcome to another challenge brought to you by the ladies at Between the Folds! This is a really fun two week challenge site that features lots of different themes so if you have not checked it out already then head on over there and play along! The challenges launch every other Tuesday and for the next two weeks we will be featuring Fancy Pants cards, layouts, and more!

So what does Fancy Pants mean? Fancy Pants simply means that you have to get fancy with your creations so flip flaps, fancy folds, anything that is a little different.

For my project I decided to play around with some fancy Halloween cards and created this one last week which featured a fun little spinner witch owl..yes a witch owl so head on over there and take a peak.

Since I was so excited about that spinner card and I just couldn't wait to show you I then had to set out and make another fancy project and came up with these easy and ever so popular waterfall cards!

These waterfall cards are always so popular with both kids and adults and I never seem to have enough on hand. I promise they  are very easy to make. If you have never made one of these before then please make sure to head on over to this tutorial and give it a try...then of course come back and enter your project into our BTF Challenge this week.

Thanksgiving Shape Card: Marjorie Ann Designs

12:00 AM 0 Comments
Welcome back. I hope everyone had a great weekend. This was our first weekend doing "fall" things..you know like pumpkin picking, hay rides, and of course Apple Cider!! Yum yum! If you are not aware yet I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the fall so of course I had a great time this weekend.

Today I have a Thanksgiving card to share with you that is so easy to throw together and is slightly comical!

The background paper comes from the Sangria paper pack and I wanted to use the other side but made two oppsies when cutting out the file on my Cricut and then decided to just simply run with it. This paper pack is perfect for the fall and features colors like pomegranate, eggplant, poppy, and champagne. You can see some more of my projects using this wonderful line here, here, and here

The whole card is a shape card and comes from a Marjorie Ann Designs file called Eat More Veggies. I love the designs that this team come up with and I use them quite often (especially since I am on their design team.) If you have not played around with these easy shape cards then you definitely need to they are very quick and easy and as with all of the Marjorie Ann files there is a wide selection and they are simply adorable. This particular file can be found here.

Eat More Veggies~Shaped SVG/MTC Card Kit/Cutting File

The other cool thing about these files is that you not only get the shape card but you also get the individual pieces so you can make other designs using that silly little turkey..or even those veggies. If you are interested in seeing some of my other Marjorie Ann Design shape cards you can check out a kids birthday invite out here and a shaped baby card here

Thanks for stopping by today and as always I hope you were inspired.

Halloween Spinner Card

12:00 AM 0 Comments
The inspiration for today's card came from our Between the Folds Challenge for next week (come back on Tuesday to learn more) and I love the way it came out so I couldn't wait to show it off to you guys.

The beautiful Witch Owl came from Marjorie Ann Designs Halloween Hoot which you can pick up here and if you are interested you can check out this post for more inspiration and ideas using this file. The black and white (perfect for Halloween) paper came from CTMH's La Vie En Rose Paper pack which can be found here. This is a very beautiful and versatile paper pack and has a lot of black and white holiday options. We also have a lot of great deals going on right now so if you love to shop and craft head on over to my CTMH page and check it all out.

The spinner card was really easy to make. You can either use your electronic die cutting machine or you can use your die cuts to cut out about a 1/2 inch circle from your base layer. You then take your die cut and layer a 3-D foam circle between two penny's  and place it so that it slides around your circle. The method is the same on that you would use on a normal slider card and if you would like more on this technique then I have just what you might be looking for located in my tutorials section and on My YouTube channel.

Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to head back here on Tuesday for another fun and creative BTF challenge! Happy Weekend!!
