Makin' It On Monday: Mini Hand Sanitizer Holder

Welcome to another Makin' It On Monday Post!! I am loving this series and I hope you are too. The last project I brought you was a mini notebook holder which I plan to add to my vendor table at the upcoming show in October and if you missed out on the last one you can find it here. This week I came across these mini hand sanitizer holders and thought they would make a great addition to the table so I will walk you through the very easy steps on making one of those.

Along with a video I also have also provided you a  free cut file which can be found here. The cut file will open up in Cricut Design Space and should (hopefully) give you no problems. This is my first time sharing a cut file so please feel free to provide feedback.  If you do not have a Cricut then have no fear because I also walk you through a how to video where I provide you with all the necessary free hand sizes, cuts, and scores. Believe me, either way you decide to go with this project the project itself is so super simple to put together.

Here is a picture of the two I have made thus far. The one on the left uses our Zoe paper and our brand new Sept. stamp of the month (more on that tomorrow!!) and the one on the right uses our Seaside paper and stamp set along with our Glacier Twine.

Here is a close up of the outside and the inside of the holder.

And here is your how to video.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you enjoyed this wonderful Makin' It On Monday video and tutorial. Happy Craftin'!

Zoe Layout: A Day @ the Park

Hi and thanks for stopping back in. I can't believe that August is almost over!! It still amazes me. But with the end of August comes September, everything I love about the fall, and our brand new Idea Books!! I have been waiting very patiently to bring our new products to you and we are so close!

Today, because anticipation kills me, I wanted to share one of our new lines called Zoe. This line is very cute and playful and has really adorable matching accessories and complements! The Zoe line also has a pre-made scrapbooking workshop on the go kit which is perfect for throwing together two double page layouts in no time flat, while also saving you money!! What a deal these kits are! The featured colors in this line include Canary, Glacier, Slate, Sorbet, Sweet Leaf, Whisper, and White Daisy which makes this line very colorful and perfect for a masculine or feminine feel to your project.

The layout I am showcasing today is part of a class which I taught this month and was so much fun to put together. I used the Zoe paper pack and Zoe Complements and then just cut everything to size. I love this layout because you get a really good feel for all of the colors featured in this line and you get to peak at those kraft and vellum die cuts which come in the complements package.

These pictures are from last year when we were spending the day at our favorite park. It's always so much fun to see that kid playing and smiling!

I picked up the layout design from our Reflections How To Manual, which is my one stop shop for scrapbooking inspiration. This book features 100 layout patterns as well as tips and techniques which help make your pages really stand out. All of our How To books make it so easy to throw together pages and cards in a jiffy and the best news is that you can mix and match pages and they always fit perfectly together.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you were inspired. If you are looking for a fun challenge to take part in don't forget to head on over to BTF challenges and play along with us this week in our Cricut challenge, all challenges run Tuesday to Monday.

Also, another reminder: with the end of the month comes the end of our retiring items so if you have products that you absolutely cannot live without head on over there and pick them up before they are gone, and then hold on tight because we have so many new and wonderful products coming out in just a few days!

Hope to see you back here soon!

BTF #4: Cricut Challenge

Welcome to week 4 over at Between the Folds "BTF" Challenges and this week we are showcasing and showing off our fabulous Cricut Cartridges!

Did you know that CTMH offers 5 exclusive Cricut Cartridges and that each one comes bundled in their own collection with coordinating stamps and papers! That's right and you can check them all out here.

  1. Art PhilosophyFeaturing hundreds of basic, versatile shapes and fonts you'll use every day.
  2. Art BookingTake your scrapbooking to never-before-seen levels.
  3. Artiste: With just the touch of one key you can take your creativity over the top with wonderful 3-D projects, party favors, interactive cards, awards, and more!
  4. Artfully Sent: Cardmaking has never been easier or more fun!
  5. Artistry: Our newest cartridge includes shapes spanning a wide variety of themes, holidays, and seasons to add some visual spice to any project you create.

For this week's Cartridge challenge I decided to keep with my recent watercolor feel and create an overlay using one of the many overlays that our Artbooking cartridge allows for. This is my first CTMH cartridge purchase and I could not be more happier with it all! This cartridge comes with over 15 layout themes and sketches and over 10 mini album themes!! Perfect for any scrapbooker.

This particular cut happens to be a snowflake.

Then I made one up using the Sun overlay and some warmers colors.

Both cards were both made using the same general technique. I took a piece of watercolor paper which measures (5" x 3.75") and I painted them with my preferred colors using some watercolor paints. I then let these dry and added them to the base card. To complete the cards I embellished and added sentiments as desired. The snowflake card was fortunate enough to get a heat embossed sentiment while the sun card was simply stamped in a coordinating color.

Just a side note: It was a hard choice for me to purchase the Artbooking Cartridge over our brand new Artistry one, or really any of the others, however my major purchase point was that the Artbooking cartridge is geared towards scrapbookers providing images (overlays, accessories, photo mats, ect..) for double page spreads, plus a wide variety of mini albums!! I am so excited to play around with it some more! If you are interested in any of our exclusive Cricut collections you can head on over to www.jenileigh.ctmh.com or you can email me at jenileighdc@gmail.com and I will be more than happy to go over all of the collections with you.

Thanks for joining our challenge today and if you have one of these wonderful collections please do make sure to come on over and share your projects!

CK: Celebration Challenge

Happy Thursday and happy challenge day over at Creative Knockouts where this week we are celebrating anything and everything!!

For this week's celebration them I jumped right to Fall (my favorite season) and of course aside from my birthday the next biggest fall celebration is Harvest time!! Maybe it's because I live in Upstate NY where we do not take farming lightly or maybe it dates all the way back to the Native Americans who used to own this entire state, but regardless of why, harvest season has always been a huge celebration here.

The image is from Sweet N Sassy Stamps which is another great place to pick up digi's since there selection is awesome! I printed the image on watercolor paper and then colored it in with my CTMH watercolor pencils.

Since I recently picked up the CTMH Artbooking Cartridge I figured this would be the perfect time to use some of those fabulous images so the inside sentiment and border as well as the outside leaf embellishments were all cut using this wonderful cartridge.

Make sure to head on over to Creative Knockouts this week to enter your Celebration Themed project. Sweet N Sassy Stamps is generously providing one lucky winner with a $10 gift certificate!

School Notebook Holder

This week I introduced my new Makin' It On Monday series where every Monday I will come on and post a video of something spectacular and cool. These videos can range from techniques, tips, products, to anything really. This week, as I was getting ready for a craft show I am planning, I decided to make some notebook holders. These are super simple and really cute and since it's almost school time here in NY I decided to make one for a special teacher.

You can check out this week's video by visiting this post here.

My favorite part of this notebook holder is that it holds a notebook or legal pad that measures approximately 5"x7" so you can actually use it to take notes, plus they are super adorable and unique.

I hope that everyone had a chance to play around with these and to make some. Let me know what you thought about the project and feel free to come on over and share your creation with us on my facebook page.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you were inspired to make something beautiful.

Welcome to Makin' It On Monday

Hello! And welcome to my first Makin' It On Monday Post where I will be attempting to post a series of videos every Monday to get your crafting mojo going for the week. I love the term Makin' it on Monday not only because I love to craft and make things but also because Monday's always seem to be a tough day to make it through so I figured this tag line would serve a dual purpose.

Today's video is all about notebooks!! I am taking part in a craft fair in October and I wanted to come up with a number of items I could make to sell, so my table was not just filled up with cards, and this easy to make project caught my attention. This would be perfect just to spruce up your notepad or to even make as a teacher's gift.

Here are two of the ones which I have embellished:

The fun thing with these is that you can design them however you want to. For example, I have one in the works that is geared towards teachers. I simply used some school themed paper and stamps and wah-lah it's all set for school. I also have another one which is geared towards the holidays and uses some Christmas paper and would be perfect for all of that holiday organization we need to keep track of. I promise to post those once I get them completed. As always play around with them and have fun with them.

Here is a walk through video, I promise it's very easy to do once you do it, however, if you have any questions at all please do not hesitate to reach out to me.

Happy Craftin'!

Mini Thank you Set using SOTM

I have mentioned it before in this post and even showed another example from a challenge blog in this post but I am here to tell you again how fabulous the new stamp of the month "Framed" is! This stamp is so versatile and so many different card sets come to mind when I take it out to look at it.

The stamp set itself comes with 12 stamps, including 3 frames that are compatible with the brand new Artistry Cricut Collection so really what more could you ask for. Oh yeah and in case you didn't know this D-size stamp set could be yours this month for only $5!

So my project for today, if you could not guess, includes that beautiful stamp set. I love to send out 3x3 note cards to my friends and customers every now and again just as a thank you for your kindness and I was running a little low so I decided this stamp set would be perfect for making up a quick batch.

These are all pretty easy and basic cards. I started with a 3x6" piece of solid colored card stock and then I cut out some fancy Confetti Wishes paper to add some color to the fronts of the card. I then went through and stamped the thin frame along with the "thanks" sentiment in coordinating colors and attached it to the front with some small embellishments.

If you love this Confetti paper as much as I do then make sure to head on over to my store and pick some up before we retire it at the end of the month.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Back To School Layout: BTF Challenge

Thanks for joining me today! Well we are well on our way into the month of August and with that comes the end of summer and the back to school season! Typically this just seems like a chaotic time of the year, but now that I have a child who is heading to school I feel the direct rush of emotions and find myself getting right into the "season!"

Since, today is Tuesday we have a brand new challenge starting over at Between the Folds. This week we wanna see and are all about Back to School, so whether it's a gift for your teacher, something to keep home life a little saner, or perhaps the layouts waiting patiently for those first day photos we want to see them! This is a brand new Anything Goes Challenge blog with two simple rules...#1 follow the theme and #2 use atleast one CTMH item on your project...Easy enough right!

For this layout I used the ABC paper from "The Paper Studios" Seasons 2 paper pack. I thought that this blackboard based paper would pair really nicely with the gray side of the new Zoe paper pack, and I am so happy with the outcome.

All of my accessories, aside from the monkey's, are from the Zoe Complements bag. I am so happy that I decided to purchase this complements bag, check out all of the stickers as well as the kraft and vellum die cuts!! It's a great steal for only $5.95.
And oh yea those Monkey Cut files are from Love to Learn pack over at Marjorie Ann Designs.  This set includes both a clip art and a vector image for 6 of those cutsie little monkey/worm learning combos. Here have a peak:

Remember you have until Sunday night to enter your Anything Goes CTMH school project in our challenge blog. The top 3 winners will be announced and showcased on Monday.

Thanks for stopping by!

Seaside Layout Part 2

Last week, in this post, I shared my take on the Seaside Scrapbook Workshop on the Go kit. Now if you are unfamiliar with these kits then let me let you in on a well known secret... for one low price you can purchase on of our Workshop on the Go kits which not only include an exclusive stamp set but they all also include enough material to make 2+ double page layouts!! How fabulous!!

So I mentioned that I have already showed you my first layout and I wanted to go ahead and show you my second layout before this kit is not longer available (yes, that's right, we are going to retire it at the end of this month!)

Poor little tuckered out D-man!!
If you are completely in love with this paper, accessories, stamps, ect.. then make sure to grab one of our Seaside Workshop on the Go Kits soon! I always have a mystery hostess open house so anyone that places an order with me this month (under the Aug. Open House link) is eligible for the hostess rewards!! It's a win win for everyone!

Oh yeah, if you saw that 2014 on the layout, these photos and layouts were the last ones from our Cape Cod trip in 2014!! Yep I was a little behind! I am so glad I picked up pocket scrapbooking because it helps me stay on top of it all!! :)

Welcome back and thanks for joining me for another Creative Knockouts Challenge! I am so in love with my image this week and with my overall project, maybe because I have baby fever - halfway there!!! or maybe it's just because this new Zoe Line from CTMH is that simply fabulous.

The theme for this week is Friendship and the sponsor is A Random Fan. I always enjoy going through their images and trying to choose just one that I would like to use, if you have never checked them out then please do so.
