Fishing Peter Masculine Card

Welcome back to another Creative Knockouts ChallengeThursday! Today the design team and I were challenged to decorate the inside as well as the outside of our cards and we came up with some awesome cards so make sure to head over to the blog and take a look.

The sponsor for this challenge is Color Ink which is generously giving away a a $7.50 Euro Gift Card. The image that I chose to use does come from Color Ink and is called Fishing Peter. This is a really cute image, that also comes with a sentiment, and I thought it would be perfect for Father's Day or even Dad's Birthday.

For this card I also decided to use my new Cricut Cartridge Outdoor Man. I absolutely fell in love with this cartridge when I saw it since my family and I love the outdoors. All of my cricut cuts came from the one cartridge.

The paper is from CTMH retired Timberland Set but you can find a very similar paper in our new Seasonal Expressions book that's called Jackson. The Jackson paper has the same masculine/outdoorsy feel to it.

I also carried the paper right to the inside of the card where I also added my sentiment.

And why not carry the design onto the back of the card as well.

Thanks so much for coming to check out my designs! Don't forget I am hosting the May Between The Folds Creative Club so if you are interested in joining you can find all of the details here. The Creative Knockouts Challenge will be held for one week so make sure to head on over and get your lovely projects entered for your chance to win.

Pocket Scrapbooking & My Pets Challenge

Well as you know I am somewhat of a pet lover so this week's challenge at Bimini Moose was perfect for me. The challenge for the next two weeks is Anything Goes with an optional Pet Page twist, that you can choose to do or not to do. As always is the case one lucky winner will receive a free cut from KaDoodle Bug Designs.

Of course, even though I am a pet love, for this project I did not have any pet cards or supplies so I set out searching the world wide web for some reasonably price accessories that I could help decorate my page with and in comes Salt Town Studio!! When you click on this site here is her welcome post "Welcome to this very unique online digital scrapbook design shop!  There are over 200 products and everything on this site is FREE - no strings attached!" That's right paper packs, accessories, and everything else is FREE. Now I know what you are thinking, there are a ton of free sites and I'm not that into any of their designs...well I was too until I started digging through Salt Town's designs and they have some pretty cute images and papers.

Here take a look. Everything I used, including the paper, phrases, and accessories, came from Salt Town's pet lines.

And, some of the close ups. I love the paper that was offered through these kits. I received the stripped one, the doggy bowl/bone one, the cat one, and the plaid one. There was no need for me to use anything from my stash because everything I used came right from the set.

Wonderful right?!

Well thanks for stopping by today and make sure to stop on over to Bimini Moose and check out what the other fabulous design team members came up with for this week and to enter your project. It's always anything goes!

May BTF Creative Club

Welcome back! Today I have some exciting news about my new zero commitment monthly club. That's right a monthly club that has no time commitment from you, but I can assure you that I made it well worth it to re-join month after month by adding additional perks to repeat members. If you would like more nitty gritty details you can read all about it on this page.

Since this is my first monthly club I wanted to keep it simple while still providing you with a ton of take-a-way. So for this month's club we will be making 10 cards with 2 different designs! Now trust me the two designs does not limit our cards since the stamp we will be using has over 30 sentiments!!  These cards will be perfect for Father's Day, Birthdays, or Just Because. Here check it out.

We will be using this "Finding the Words" stamp along with the Jackson paper pack to make these two designs. You can keep to the two designs or get a little wild and make some designs of your own. If you do not want to purchase the stamp you can come to club night and simply share my stamp, no biggies, but it is a wonderful stamp set to own!

Oh yea, Just in case you are adding up the math, yes I did give you a discount on the stamp for ordering the larger kit. :) As a little thank you for joining me this month.

New Pocket Function on Cricut!!

Welcome back to another fabulous Tuesday here at Bimini Moose. We are halfway through our current Anything Goes (twist- blast from the past) challenge and as always we are sharing some fabulous projects with you so make sure to head on over to our challenge page and take a peak. While you are there do not forget to submit your anything scrapbooking related project for your chance to win a free cut from KaDoodle Bug (btw she just added some really cute new ones to the site!)

For today I wanted to showcase a Cricut Cartridge for all of my Cricut loving paper players. Close to My Heart offers four cartridge bundles (accessories and stamps are included) and they are all very fabulous. However for my Tuesday posts I try to stick to pocket scrapbooking which is exactly why today I want to showcase the wonderful Artfully Sent Collection.

This collection is made for pocket scrapbookers, or as we call them "Picture My Lifers" and I say this because this cartridge offers 700 images, but better yet every image comes with a "pocket function" which is a convenient button that allows users to turn every image into a 4x6 or a 3x3 sized pocket card, perfect for your page protectors! I know easy and fabulous and again this function works on all 700+ images.

Since this item is still on my wishlist, I searched for a fellow consultant who has already played more in depth with this function and I came across Adeline Brill's post which provides us with a wonderful quick showcase all about using this feature and she also provides a free cut file!! So if you are totally in love with these images (like I am) then you can head over and follow Adeline's blog and then come back and have your own set  by clicking here.

No re-sizing at all!! They just come out in the standard size that you choose. Here is a couple of the pages she made.

Such an easy and intelligent function and I just cannot wait to get my hands on this cartridge. If you are curious to see more about what images come in the cartridge you can check out Dr. Phil's post here. But here are a few image sets to give you a taste.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you were inspired to get out there and make some pocket scrapbook layouts!  Also, don't forget to enter your project into our challenge, you still have one more week.

Blossom's Layout

Welcome to another Monday and thanks for coming along and checking out my newest creation! I have been completely in love with the Blossoms Paper from CTMH. The papers are beautiful and perfect for Spring and I just can't get enough of them, so of course my inspiration today is a layout I created using that same paper.

So last week I mentioned that I created a checkerboard scrappage for a H2H challenge then I mailed it without taking pictures of it...d'oh!! Well lucky for me I was able to get a picture from the recipient and kabaam! here it is.

I wanted to get a closer view of the paper and of my shimmy checkerboard pattern. These squares are cut down to 1" x 1" and they are outlined with some teal shimmer trim. Aside from loving this paper I also love our shimmer trim (in all the colors).

Well I hope that you enjoyed my project for today and that you were inspired. Don't forget I am hosting a mystery open house next week where one lucky winner will take home free product and hostess goodies. If you are interested or need some more information you can check it out here.

Blossoms Make a Wish Birthday Card

Today I have a lovely "Make a Wish" type of card which I think would be great for an upcoming birthday! This card follows a sketch that I picked up from a new challenge site called, Tuesday Morning. The sketch had a lot of layers to it, which frightened me a little at first, but once I got into the planing stages of making the card I started to have some fun.

So here is my take on the sketch:

I know another Blossom card, I just can't quit with these. The paper is simply beautiful and the stamp set is so much fun to use. This stamp set can only be purchased in the Cardmaking kit  but is a must have for the warmer months coming up.

The sketch looked like this:

I am also going to enter this card into the Color My Heart Challenge, the colors are not right on, but they are pretty close.

Just a note before I go. I am doing my first craft fair this weekend (so exciting!!!) so if you are in the area make sure to stop by Moreau Marketplace to check out my booth! Thanks for stopping by today.

Have a safe and fabulous weekend!

A Boy & His Dog Card

Hi Welcome to a fabulous Thursday! Today I have a card and a couple of challenges to bring to you so sit back grab some java and let's dive right in.

Over at Creative Knockouts, where I am part of the Design Team, we are starting a challenge that is all about texture! I love this challenge theme and in my opinion you do not see it floating around too much. The guidelines are simply to use texture on your project, which includes embossing, textured papers, ect... there are so many options! As always we have a wonderful sponsor, this week it happens to be A Day For Daisies and they are giving one lucky winner a $12.00 gift card to be used in their store.

So, I know you are excited to see what I came up with. Well it was a hard choice since so many of their digital stamps are lovely, but go figure, I happened to fall madly in love with their Puppy Love stamp. As many of you know my son adopted his very first dog this past Christmas and I have been so in love with the trials and tribulations of a preschooler and a brand new puppy... however they each have a special place in my heart so this stamp was perfect.

Is that not the cutest stamp ever!! I know I love it too. Here is a close up.

Ok so I am getting a lot better at coloring!! I told you that would come. I just recently received some watercolor pencils and I fell in love with those too. I know there's a lot of love going around in this post. But seriously, these pencils make it so easy to color in beautifully (of course with my shading pen.) I hope to find some time next week to show a little video showcasing how easy it is to color in an image and achieve proper shading every time.

In addition to playing along with Creative Knockouts I am also entering this beautiful card into the sketch challenge at Heart to Heart. Which features a very lovely and very easy sketch to duplicate.

You have two weeks from today to play along with the Textures challenge at Creative Knockouts and you have all month to play along with Heart to Heart so make sure to grab some paper and get crafty!
