So I was recently asked to make a couple of sympathy cards for one of my customers and this was a card that ended up being part of the set. Normally I do not stray too far away from your standard A2 (4.25"x5.5") card and if I do it's typically straight to a 5"x7" so that way I am not messing around too much with envelopes. However, this card ended up being a 6"x6" and I wouldn't have it any other way.
I use this jackson paper a lot, I love the textures and how it complements all of my summer photos so perfectly. You can check out some other projects here and here.
The sketch for this card came straight out of the Originals How-to book, I simply altered the sketch by flipping everything over to the left side. The stamp is one that I have had in my stash for years and years and I do not even have a case for it anymore, but any image could easily be swapped in. In order to get the multiple colors on my tree I colored the stamp in with alcohol markers and then stamped it. I then added a little additional brown and green on the base of the tree.
I know I have been bringing you great new products and deals all week, but I wanted to show off our current promotion, just in case you enjoy using your alcohol markers as much as I do.
